In an attempt to rekindle my somewhat forgotten passion for manga, I’ve just joined a Death Note community.
Summarizing, Death Note is the story of a peculiar book. It was lost, and found by Yagami Light, an above average intelligent boy that got immediately interested on said book, especially on the set of rules written on it. One of them read: "If the name of a person is written in this book, that person will die". It turns out this book, the Death Note, belonged to a Shinigami (Japanese for god of death) named Ryuk, that kind of lost-it-on-purpose. With a reason: he was bored.
Yagami Light sees this as an opportunity to make his own justice, by applying the capital punishment over murderers, rapists, thieves, and other individuals that, in his opinion, would be better off dead, for the good of the society.
And everything works great, until the police notices the rise of sudden deaths among the criminal population, and the line between what's right and wrong gets somewhat blurry...
