My dad finished my Reno rod and it looks awesome! He put a fancy type of cap on the end so I can't attatch a strap or anything, but that's just fine by me. It adds a nice touch to it and I didn't want a strap anyway. It'd be too much of a pain. I printed out some pictures so I could style the wig and paint the silver parts and he was all, "Oooh I could've made those divets in it and painted it silver if you want. He has a strap? I could've added one of those too." Ha ha ha!! I told him it was ok, I like it the way it is. He probably would've found a way to make it retract if he knew all about it. I'm glad he did it, because it would've taken me forever to figure it out! And he just whipped it up in a couple of hours.
I went to the dojo last night and of course people ask me about my project. I wish people would leave me alone! Oh by the way, they're closed tomorrow, not that it concerns anyone else. lol Something to do with the heat...I wasn't really paying attention... Anyway, Mr. Randy was talking to us about how you act as a 3rd and 4th degree and things like that and he told us this story about Anne. Well, as most of you know she works in a hospital and she's a 5th degree black belt. She was in a room with a patient and he was basically getting up in her face. Now Anne is a small woman and usually very nice, but don't mess with her. Well she gave him all the signals that he needed to back off and she said something like, "Back off before this goes any further," or something like that. Everyone who heard came rushing into the room to see what was going on, because you never really hear that sort of thing with that voice come out of her. Someone even asked if there was anything wrong, and she told them no, because he was backing off. And he did. Which was good for him. And then Mr. Randy was all, "It's a good thing he was already in the Emergency Room..."
I thought everyone would enjoy that story.
I'm glad it finally decided to rain, because it got rid of all this humidity we've been having, but my god there was a lot of lightening! Did anyone actually see any of it?
