I believe I did notice that a while back. I don't have the patience or the skills to do that much tweaking.
And like I've explained to others, it's not the changes that are bugging me, it's the attitude and behavior of the LJ staff, and there's just so much evidence that the majority of the LJ staff don't care about providing a good experience for their users in any capacity. They don't follow good user interface design practice, don't even seem to know what that is, or how to effectively carry out beta testing (or care to do so in a way that would include users from a variety of backgrounds with a variety of needs) and their customer service is laughable. LJ staffers have a free reign to do whatever they like to abuse their power, because they won't be punished. That's what has me wanting to use DW as my main journal.
I'm never on Twitter, either. The sad part is that all those new shiny things that most of the "cool kids" seem to use rather than journaling or blogging services, they can't keep my attention very long. LJ has been my constant, and now that's going to be DW.
I'm glad you're happy here, but I do have to wonder what your breaking point would be.
