[Writing] Compassion's Blade - First draft is done!
I have a completed first draft of "Compassion's Blade"!!! It only took me what, four years to come up with a concept for it that I actually liked?
It's 3,748 words. >.<
I don't know if the final draft will be longer or not. I don't know if there's anything that really needs to be added. Which means I have no idea if there will be a market for it, being so short, and with a theme and style I haven't seen much in fantasy short fiction these days (or ever). Sigh.
I may have to follow that idea I had, to self-publish an anthology of Elate-related stories, if I can't find other markets for them. But that's a ways off for now.
Also, I changed Loretta's name back to Lorna. I don't even know when it became Loretta, as I didn't intend to change her name. It just sort of happened when I started this draft. o.O But Lorna she is, and will remain from now on.
YAY I HAVE A FINISHED FIRST DRAFT!
Next: to set it aside and start work on the other short story idea. Later, I will return to "Compassion's Blade" to edit and see what becomes of it.
