[Fandom] HP people: beta needed
So I'm going to be writing for hp_darkfest, but I need a new beta. I... sort of lost the old one.
Anyone interested?
First of all: it's a dark!fest, so obviously my beta should be ready and willing to read and discuss dark subject matter.
Second: I've sort of become accustomed to a beta with a near encyclopedic knowledge of HP canon. I won't require that in a new beta, but I'd like someone who is capable of having in-depth discussions, who has read the series at least twice all the way through.
Third: I do not want mindless squeeing in my betas. I want real critiquing. I want to know the good and the bad, what I'm doing right and what I'm doing wrong. I can't fix mistakes or get better at writing unless someone tells me where I'm going wrong.
Fourth: I'd really like this to be a permanent beta relationship, but the hp_darkfest would be kind of a trial run.
If I don't get someone through my LJ, I'll probably go to hp_betas_wanted or something.
