... here, let me fix them for you:

"I stand for the power to change.
I live for the perfect day.
I love 'til it hurts like crazy.
I hope for a hero to save me I don't need a hero to save me."

There. That's better.

In other news, finally reading A Game of Thrones. That is the first one, isn't it? Because, while I'm enjoying it so far, Martin is ( Read more... )

I could wish for a bit more moral grayness, though.

HA! Oh, honey, it's comin'. And it's comin' hard.

(And I agree, Catelyn is a bitch.)

Oh GOOD. I was worried there for a minute. :D

(Also, that's good, because... well, she's so far only a bitch to Jon, and while I don't agree with her behavior toward him, I can definitely see where she thinks she has reason. Other than that, though, she's better than a lot of other characters. Definitely better than Cersei. Holy SHIT I want that woman to die. Like a LOT.)

That's sort of my problem with Catelyn. She always thinks she has a good reason to do or act a certain way. And that way is usually bitchy.

Holy SHIT I want that woman to die. Like a LOT.

I think I know generally where you are in the book and all I can say is: that feeling is only going to get stronger. Like a lot. Though I've come to enjoy how good she is at being rather horrible.

I am after the thing with the raveling and the wolves and Lady. LADY. D: That's the moment when I started hating Cersei with a fiery passion. And I have no love for Robert, either, the spineless old asshole. Not just for that, but for the way he basically wants someone else to run his kingdom for him and doesn't want to take any responsibility for anything UGH. WHY ARE YOU KING?

(I do have to admit that he was honest, though... I mean... he SAID he would leave the running of the country to Ned, while he drank and eat and wenched. You know, just, at that point, I thought it was an exaggeration...)

Yeaaaaaah. LADY. *sobs* We barely knew ye.

In regards to Robert, yeah. But I think if you compare him to the previous king, a lot of people are alright with him being a lazy drunk as long as he isn't batshit crazy. Plus, the entire court structure as it is in the present of the books is not what the Baratheons and the Starks had in mind originally when they rebelled. A lot of this is Plan B and just living with what life threw at them. Which I think has a lot to do with how Robert turned out as king. Having Cersei as a wife will that to a man.
