[Fandom] That thing...

So, the person who wrote "Pretty When You Cry" responded last night to my comment wherein I said the fic was perfect and flailed incoherently. So I was able to tell them, finally, in a coherent manner, why I thought the fic was so perfect--mainly, that it took into account the horrific nature of what they were writing about, that it's clear Macnair is a stalker and that Parvati does not welcome him or his intentions, and that she does absolutely everything she can to prevent him from finding her alone, but it just isn't enough. It's a wonderful, perfect story because it's horrible and terrible, and it is handled very well. I was finally able to tell the author this.

Because I was concerned that the nature of my first comment could be held up against the two other comments for that fic that I have issues with.

The really sad part for me is that the mod for this fest is also the mod for hp_emofest, which I love participating in and is the perfect fest for me and my emo!writer ways. But, unfortunately, if I'm going to refuse to participate in future rounds of deatheaterfest on the basis of the mod apparently supporting and worse, justifying commenting behavior I cannot agree with, then I can't participate in any fest of which this person is a mod.

So I will not be participating in future rounds of hp_emofest, either.

Which will probably help me personally, as I won't be as busy with fests as I usually am. But it still makes me sad.
