[Random] I LIVE - barely....
Okay, I am back and trying to get sick and so this is as short an update as I can manage. I hope.
1) Favorite quote of the trip remains the same: On the Tower of Terror, during the first stop when everything goes dark and the walls basically turn into space with stars, someone in the elevator said "Oh, cool!" In response, a little girl in the front row said "This is NOT cool." She was very sincere. (She was also very adamant that "We're only doing this one ONCE."
2) New favorite resort: Port Orleans French Quarter! It's gorgeous! The end.
3) Favorite attraction: Tower of Terror, duh. Though Expedition Everest just might have tied with it this year. Riding in the dark was AWESOME.
4) Least favorite attraction: DINOSAUR OH GODS WHYYYYYYY? WHY DOES THIS ATROCITY EXIST? D:
5) Most WTF attraction: The Seas with Nemo and Friends. What was the point, again?
6) Worst show: It's Tough to Be a Bug. I've heard it frightens little children, and it's not particularly fun for adults (in my very personal experience) to experience bad smells and get POKED IN THE BACK BY THE SEAT. >:( (Finding Nemo: The Musical almost was mentioned as nearly as bad, but the only bad thing about it is the lyrics. The costumes, the puppets, the staging is all beautiful, but dear gods, those LYRICS.)
7) Favorite new thing I did this time: Toy Story Midway Mania! It's FUN. It's a fun enough 6 minutes to actually be worth the 60-70 minute wait time (though, surprisingly, most of the wait times were WAY OFF... like... once we were told by a Cast Member up front that it would be a 45 minute wait, and then we walked right on).
8) Thing I still hate: The Rockin' Rollercoaster. Still hurts my head.
9) Least favorite experience: This year's Mission: Space, and also walking to the bus stop from Japan in the rain, only to get there and remove the pancho hood and get rained on through the HOLES IN THE ROOF OF THE BUS STOP WTF.
10) Tips for fellow Disney travelers: Front of cars on Space Mountain = bad. Back of cars on Space Mountain = good. (This is, of course, unless you enjoy being jerked around on the most brutal dark rollercoaster besides the Rockin' Rollercoaster... seriously, the front felt like the car came up off the tracks and I was mostly like OH GODS MAKE IT STOP). However, for the same reasons, front of Big Thunder Railroad = good, and back = bad.
11) I started trying to get a sinus infection the very moment we stepped into our room, I think. If not for chrisbrad's over-the-counter drugs, I might've been miserable the whole time. THANK YOU.
12) I am sick now, though. UGH.
13) Also, non-Disney related, aimlesstravels wrote an awesome 80,000+ words fic for inception_bang. :D :D
