My manager put me in charge of a $600,000 contract awarded to our lab/development group, and is gonna grade me on how well I stick to the budget and schedule I had to generate for him. D: (and the gov't wants to see my results...) Apparently that's how all the 'real' (job-coded with associated pay grade) managers are graded, so he's training me for that. X3 I'm happy he thinks it worthwhile to start teaching me already, since he knows of my interest in technical management, but I'm job-coded/educated/trained as an engineer and only 1 year out of college, so it's kind of like teaching swimming by throwing in the sea. Dx If he thinks Stanford grads deal with that np, then ... I MUST NOT FAIL @#$%!!! Actually, I must not fail regardless, cuz this is RL, not homework anymore even though it's still graded based on numbers. :\ So then... I MUST GET THE HIGHEST GRADE @#$%!! At least he's okay with me bugging him repeatedly to check/correct all my work, since the results will make him look good/bad too. :3 If I seem busy/stressed, this would be why. ;w;

...hi Alan, I'm gonna be the second least favorite of your occupation list. ;D (I think you said you hated lawyers the most. X3)

Speaking of busy/stressed, yesterday was one of those really bad days, where I had to be at work at 6am for an 8-hr video-teleconference meeting and then got off work at 5:30pm feeling like I was sure to get into car accident (exhausted, stressed, upset at something stupid I did despite my usual attention to detail). Felt a lil better after taking it out at the gym, but carpool lane not enforced after 7pm + my baby♥ + Ellegarden (ty Kenji ;D) = ^-^! My baby t o t a l l y qualifies as a significant other! It always has a way of making me happy after a bad day. :D
