Two questions... one is a plot one and one is a 'emotional authenticity' one
Plot one:
Did I miss something or is there no real explanation as to why Christine's brain had hyperthaumaturgical degration, or why she started selling what presumably were (?) her Dad's magic stuff?
Other one:
OK, we can probably buy that after the initial shock that Tyburn would be OK with her daughter being gay and hanging our with her girlfriend. But surely the idea that Olivia isn't
a) grounded forever
OR
b) bundled off to a school very far away
and that she is allowed to continue to hang out with the girlfriend who bought a reasonably large quantity of drugs from a dealer and gave / sold the table to someone else who then died makes no sense at all in terms of the sort of person Tyburn is?!
