Job Hunting

Apr 07, 2005 00:18

On Sunday, me and Neil spent the best part of the day working on our CV's and posting them out to a couple of places - jobs we'd seen advertised on the job centre website.

Neil got called for an interview, which he had today.

Apparently, it went quite well and he'll know whether he'll get the job by Friday. The job was an administrative job 11 - 3 Mon - Friday. The pay is ok too. Fingers crossed for him. I think it did his confidence good to at least get that far, because he'd been feeling bad about not getting anywhere with his job hunting.

I hope he gets the job, even if he hates it. It's always easier to find work when you're in a job.

I have a job interview in the morning at 10am. This is the one where they wanted copies of my certificats and I didn't have them.

I still don't have them.

They haven't arrived yet, but I will go anyway. I am worried that the lack of documentation to prove my qualifications will go against me, but there's not much I can do apart from explain that I am waiting for my duplicate certificates in the post.

For this reason, I am more nervous - I'm starting to imagine all sorts of other things will go wrong and that doesn't bode well. I'm really hoping I get this job so I need to be more positive.

After all, I think that will help more than anything. I would hope that they are understanding - after all, it's not that I haven't got the certificates, it's more that I'm waiting for them to arrive.

I'm sure it will go well.

*stays positive*
