Hooray for school days!
I already finished reading chapters 19, 20, and 21. They went pretty fast because they had a lot of action, and therefore I already edited these scenes some during November.
Favorite line of the day:
The man to my right reeked of fish, as though the odors clung to his mighty beard and decided to travel the country as his stalwart companion.
On a completely different note, Normal's sex scene was part of today's reading, and I was very pleased with how it turned out. It definitely comes across as something integral to the plot, not just a, "Here, let's throw some bouncy-bouncy-fun for these people." Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course. It just wouldn't have fit this particular book.
I'm expecting word back on several submissions this week, fiction and non. I've become a gmail-checking maniac.
I finally was
selected for an advance reader copy of a book on LibraryThing. More books = more happiness. Though... my poor to-read shelf is now so full that I'm stacking books on top of other books. I went to Goodwill yesterday and found two more books for the stash. I think I'll consider this addiction an occupational hazard.
