LiveJournal is amongst the living! Hooray! Yahoo! I'm not planning on leaving this place, despite the aggravations this week. The denial of service attack is not their fault. If it's for the same reason as the last attack, it's an effort out of Russia to silence political bloggers. These attackers WANT a mass exodus to drive LiveJournal out of business.
Anyway. Writing news!
It's been a good week for publications. My poem "West on Highway 198" is live at
The Christian Science Monitor. Being in a big name publication like that boggles my mind and has made me go squee a lot. I mean, dude. I have a tag on their website. I'm someone.
In other news,
Chicken Soup for the Soul: Just for Preteens came out on Tuesday. It features my story about my grandpa's terminal illness and death. My grandpa was a preacher and he often drew on life stories for his sermons, and this story provided me with an odd sense of his approval. Like I'm carrying on a tradition he started. I hope it'll help some kids feel empowered in a difficult time.
