Pilfered from stgulik and done because I should be writing but let's face it, when we have one thing we're supposed to be focusing on, we do everything else

You'll have to post a pic or two of your pregnant dolls, I'd be fascinated to see them. I know that they've made them, but I've only ever seen one and that was a long time ago. It was a barbie style one with a removable tummy that had a tiny baby in it in an in utero pose. I think it was made in Germany.
How do you handle living where you do considering your dislike of crowds, heights and bridges? It must be quite stressful for you.
I'm not too fond of crowds myself. People have often pulled me up on this, having been a performer in front of many and a sound engineer at many places where there were crowds, but I still hold that that is a completely different situation. You get the vibe and the feedback from the crowd, but you're not actually IN it and you have a certain amount of control over it all. More like being a shepherd than being part of the flock.
Bridges sometimes give me vertigo, especially if I'm walking over them and you can see the water between gaps in the planks, but that, I've been told, is common in people who have a problem with heights, which I do. I'm not great on mountain roads either, but if I'm the one driving or I'm walking I'm fine. So, where did I finally settle? The mountains, of course!
Are you fine with looking out rather than down? I find that's a different thing to climbing down a ladder or being higher than about 6 floors in a building - that's the sort of thing that gets me. Luckily, I don't have an across the board problem with heights - just certain things kick it off. I'm usually fine with climbing - it's the coming down that usually gets to me, although I persevere and win out mostly.
HEhehe!! I might have to email you my collection so I dont freak everyone else out! It would be fun to dig through my doll collection and feel nostalgic for a minute. Heyy yes send me your email address if you dont mind.
I live in a town where there are no bridges and buildings, so I'm quite happy about that. But time to drive over a bridge if I do have to go to the city...if I'm not driving, I close my eyes. If I'm the one driving, I use music to distract me. But it's funny because I like to travel but even pictures of say, the Golden Gate bridge or the top of a mountain... no no no no.
Yes, I think it's different looking down at a crowd but being immersed in it? NOPE! Plus...if something happens, then everyone does the 'scared sheeple' thing and all sense goes out the window. No thank you. I dont do places where we're all shoulder to shoulder.
*gasp* I dont walk over bridges. Wait, well you know, that I can actually do? I think I feel more secure on my feet because I can always run if needed. There's the Brooklyn BRidge near my job and I'd always go there during a break and it was nice. But to me, it doesnt seem as high as other bridges. I know, I'm a nut.
And Id be scared to live in the mountains!! Although...the view is GORGEOUS. Ive been in a house on the mountains before and it was gorgeous in the winter.
Yes, see I think you just hit the nail on the head with the looking out rather than down. Out, I'm fine. Down? Panic attack!
We really are perverse creatures ;) but we're fun!!
