Because I want to buy all the yarn. Over a year ago I tried my hand at crocheting..got flustered...threw my hook and yarn across the room and vowed to try again. Tried again and came out with a placenta-looking thing....enlisted the help of my sister when she came over for Sunday dinner and actually made a halfway decent hat.
My sister also had a point when she said that I'd need something huge to keep yarn in because crocheting is addictive. She wasn't lying. She's also thrilled because she has someone to teach (and I didn't know my sister was such an excellent teacher!! Wish I'd accosted her ages ago) and she won't be the only one the family teases for toting around a huge bag with her yarn, half-finished projects and her hooks.
Plus a lot of my internet lovelies are quite helpful and have been giving me tips and the like. If not for them I might have said the hell with it.
