Dreaming Luminescence

November Seventh, Two Thousand Six
The day I meant to take my trip down the river styx.
No two coins to pay my way
My soul was left sitting in the bay.

The stillness of the land of the dead;
My cold body lying in the bed...
In this place, a strange wind blew
The ground gave way and I fell through

Falling for what felt like forever
I reflected on my endeavor
A strong, heartfelt love
Taken and replaced like a worn glove

As my heart was breaking in mid air
I suddenly became aware
Of a light below my falling form
As I grew closer I began to feel warm

Your arms outstretched; into them I fell,
And you saved me from this would-be hell.
Taking comfort in your arms
It was hard to resist your charms.

The hurt... the pain... I wasn't sure,
But for all of it you were the cure.
Smiling, laughing and feeling joy
Slowly becoming less and less coy.

Where one path ends, another begins
I would gladly follow you my ends
On this journey I shall now embark
With you, my light in the dark.
