"Tin Man" a better "Wizard of Oz"

Just watched the mini-series movie "Tin Man" and in my opinion was a brilliant interpretation of the classic "Wizard of Oz". And I would not have stayed up till 3am in the morning (I started at 11:30pm) to actually finish the 3 part series if I didn't think it was that good that it had to be watched till the end. But that's me.

I've never read the actual book, and all I had to go by comparison was the sugar coated sweetness of the musical "The Wizard of Oz", which I'm not ashamed to say I actually liked in terms of "musical" and "sweetness". LOL!

But "Tin Man" was more darker, more adult orientated in terms of its delivery and themes and for me it seemed more realistic of what "The Wizard of Oz" is all about, though I must try to read or skim through the actual book to see whether it was depicted well in the "Tin Man" movie.

So for those who like their fairy tales delivered in a more darker and adult themes, this is a must see, especially if you actually hated the sugar coated sweetness of the musical "The Wizard of Oz".

film, tin man, mini-series, the wizard of oz
