Why does this type of news come out of Florida?
I have seen two news stories that came out of my wonderful state that
just make me want to throttle people for being ignorant of whatever.
First, a man who claimed to have captured a 14 ft python in a drain pipe
in Florida is now being charged by the wildlife organization for
perpetrating a hoax. Come to find out, the python was his own pet and
he staged the capture by putting the snake in the drain pipe.
*shakes head in disbelief at the stupidity of people who simply must
have their 15 minutes of fame*
Second, a 7 month old baby has been missing from a home in Chipley, FL
for 5 days. They finally found the child in a box under a bed at the
babysitter's home. The babysitter, her husband, and the child's mother
are currently being held in connection with the case. Months before the
disappearance of the child, the babysitter had sent an e-mail to
Governor Crist's office regarding the safety of the child and DCF has
been helping the family, but there was no charges filed that would cause
the child to be taken away from the family.
