(no subject)
So apparently it's a DW day, and will probably continue to be that way on my friends page for the next couple of days. Really though, are that many mirrors really necessary? Yes, of course they're appreciated, but after a while people don't need that many links.
Question: Friending memes- yay or nay? Why? Have you ever done one? I just wonder because I'm really not a person who can just go to someone and say, "Hey! Let's be friends." It's partially fear of rejection, but also, what happens if you friends someone and then never have anything to say to them? What's the point? I... really am a loser and don't know how "socializing" works.
Tomorrow is my drug test for the job. I'll get my call on Thursday or Friday with the results (which, duh, will not be positive). Then I can start. But...
I made a huge mistake. Kind of. I guess I'll see how it goes. But here's how it goes. I'm close enough to walk to work. But my mother doesn't like me walking at 11:00 at night. However, she doesn't like to pick me up that late because that's right in the middle of the night. So when doing scheduling, I said I would work on the "Outs" team. This means I will arrive some days at 6:00 in the friggin' morning.
Now that's not an unusual hour for me. Except, you know, that's when I go to bed (when left to my own devices). Like I said, we'll see how this little arrangement works out. The plus is though that the starting wage has apparently gone up since I was last there. So yay. Also: I won't be cashiering.
AND. I have this idea. I'm going to put together all sorts of travel/work/study abroad links. And it's going to be a big list with all sorts of categories that break it down step by step. It's going to be mostly for me, but I suppose it could be a good resource for other people (since I'm going to make it a community effort in a bunch of the travel communities).
You know, for not doing much more than the interview and the party (and post-party dinner at Snuffy's Malt Shop), I have a surprising amount of topics to talk about.
