Do you believe open relationships are still counted as a real relationship?

Well, I guess that the answer differs depending on the person. Personally I'd say "no". Reasoning: What's the difference between having an open relationship and just dating/seeing/sexing anyone you feel like? To you, does an open relationship mean that you're dedicated to one person? If so, then why fool around with other people? I suppose that being in an open relationship "guarantees" that you'll have at least one person there for you, but what good is that person except as a failsafe?

Look, I'm all for dating different people, but if you're going to enter into a "relationship", be exclusive. To me there's no point otherwise. Personally, I think the term "open relationship" is a bit of a misnomer. A relationship without singular, romantic dedication is a bit of a waste. I mean, picture being intimate with someone and then having them tell you how they can't stay because they've got another date or something in that vein. It's like the whole "If you really love someone, no three-ways" principle.

But that's my opinion and admittedly it may be a tad skewed because of a few things. I'm not saying I'm right or anything, just my view.
