Something That Has Been On My Mind Now
So all and all I can't help and keep on looking back at the Ohayocon threads everywhere. I know that there was a bunch of people who were upset that they only had 16 awards given out. I know for a fact that I really did want Melissa's group to win. I really did. But like I don't know how the judges score so I don't know the details and everything.
Personally this entire issue is about the Found Item category. Honestly, some people have no talent in sewing... and sometimes I question myself at it when I look at other costumes. ((YES I bluntly say that I have little talent in sewing right now because I'm still only two years into it)). But the Found Item category is so good because people who aren't good at sewing or using machines can compete in this. I'm not saying... OMG EVERYONE BECOME INSTANT COSPLAYERS AND ENTER THIS COMPETITION! No no no. Found Items and modified are just different ways to create the image of that character/outfit. Honestly some shows that you can just buy the item at the store are just perfect. Like belts.. ((blah blah blah)) Some people say that they might like this category.. but this is just kinda like a step lower than a Novice sewer. SO it shouldn't be a problem really. It just annoys me how some "advanced" seamstresses don't like the idea of this.
Honestly I wish I knew how many people competed so I had better knowledge of the entire thing.. but I'll leave that alone.
