I'm loving Carleton to pieces, still. Just as much as last year...but differently.
It really is the little things that make life amazing, and worth living, and make me beyond happy.
Like when I was giving a campus tour and our college president came up and talked to my tour briefly. it totally made my day.
Or when it took me an hour to leave Sayles after finishing my homework at 1am because I stopped to talk to a bunch of people on my way out of the building. Granted, it meant going to bed at 2, but whatever. Totally worth it. (on that note, I'm really glad Chris came to Carleton. Also, I can't spell. my first try said taht I'm really glad Christ came to Carleton. slight difference)
Or when I stay up until almost 6am. For academic reasons...but not really. because my academic work didn't really need to take all that much time. And then my track coach emails me at 4:45am and I realize she just woke up and checked her email, and I hadn't gone to sleep yet...
Or when I spend over an hour at dinner, just talking with people I don't usually.
Or when I go on a run in the rain, in an area of the arb I've never been before.
Or when I really do enjoy all of my classes. Good professors, awesome classmates, interesting subjects...
Or when I spend a little over 4 hours on wednesday (with a break in the middle) social dancing...waltz, foxtrot, swing, tango, cha cha....
Or when all of my workers show up, and they get everything done.
Or when I realize I like all of my shifts, because each one has at least one awesome worker, and I've definitely got favorites. Like my saturday buddy....or the other kid who I like even better each time I talk to him (plus, I think he's cute)...
Or when I go to breakfast and they have grapefruit...chocolate chip pancakes...or when they have dijon chicken for dinner.
Or when....I could go on forever with little things about Carleton that make me really happy.
In other news, flight of the conchords=hilarious!!!
