so i just wrote a long post about how my life was all falling together and i lost it. maybe it's a sign. i sure hope not. so i'll just do a fast recap of what I said, and you'll probably like me better for it because it will be short:
I'm going to be a student manager in burton dining hall next year. this means i get paid more than other campus jobs, work with cool people, and manage all the freshmen workers.
I'm going to be a new student week leader next year. that means i go back early, and get my own small group of freshmen to help introduce them to Carleton.
I'm going to Hawaii next winter break for photography!!! It's for 2 weeks at the beginning of December, and it's through Carleton and I'm beyond excited.
I got into the Paris program which means I'll spend next spring term studying french in paris! i'm terrified, but soooo stoked!!!
At the end of my I will be doing the biking leg of a triathlon with two friends from my track team. it's going to be sweet. my dad is sending me a bike. (the bike i have here now is ancient, pretty sweet looking, and falling apart.)
what isn't going well you may ask? getting enough sleep (though i think i get more than i did in highschool), biology (oh man, my midterm? haha. soooo horrible. i'm having trouble caring though. i mean next year? it will rock!) and ummm hmmm, i'm sure there may be more, but the good things definately outweigh anything not so goood.
and this summmer should be super fun: Flagstaff to visit awesomeness in the form of cousins, another bike ride down the coast, south lake tahoe?, seeing friends, evan's brother is graduating from stanford so he'll be in CA, and so i will see him (he's from austin), there had best be Erica-ness (she's from san francisco), apparently laura (from boston) is visiting...and all that jazz. Then there's a potential wedding in kansas right before i have to be back at carleton? i dunno. my life is so beyond busy, but i so beyond love it. i mean, i could use a few things, but hey, life's not perfect, and mine's almost as close as you could ask it to be.
and my ankle is feeling better. what caused me a couple of breakdowns this term had nothing to do with what normal people might break down about (which i had options to) but track. because i couldn't compete. so the one downside of going to paris is missing spring term. which is a most amazing term. but come on. paris.
LOVE!
