The new and improved Team TARDIS

Five is minding his own business, really. He doesn't particularly want to be bothered because he's repairing something beneath the console of the TARDIS. She's been acting a bit sickly, lately, so he's trying to catch up on his repairs to her system ( Read more... )

Five is amazed by how easily the other creates the sandwich, and really, the smile hasn't left his face. It really was an interesting combination -- he liked both substances, but together, he wasn't so sure. Tegan often made him try many of her concoctions. In fact, he'd had peanutbutter with bananas, but he was never too fond of that.

When the sandwich is offered, he examines it for a moment, merely from habit before he actually bites into it.

There's a moment of speculation, but he nods, "It's good, indeed!" Don't mind him sputtering with food in his mouth, he's quick to take another good bite of it.

Leaning back against the counter, he swallows what he's eaten and looks over at the other, "Did you come up with it yourself? I know Tegan put Bananas with peanutbutter once, and I've had jam, obviously, too, but..." A shrug.

Various foods have always been an interest. (Aha! Especially vegetables...)

Reid laughs a bit as he watches the other study the sandwich, although he can't exactly poke too much fun at him for it, since he would surely be doing the same thing if offered something similar.

He's holding his breath as he waits to see what the Doctor thinks, a little unnerved at first but relaxing as he gets the sign of approval. Biting into his own, he nods. "They're great. More often than not, I don't really have much to eat at my apartment but there's always enough peanut butter, honey and bread." Not that he really winds up spending much time there but still.

He's gulping down the last bit of his half, when the other poses the question. "When I was young one of my mother's students would bring one in for me every time she knew I was coming with her to class. Ever since then I've just kind of been addicted."

Sorry Doctor, hope you don't mind him poking through things again, this time in search of something to drink.

"Well, we always seem to be in abundance of all three, so I think, if ever in time of crisis, we will be set on that aspect." Oh, he's grinning like a fool, even as he's nibbling on the sandwich.

By force of habit, he begins to start up a kettle of tea, because really, he adores his tea quite a bit. He even hums lightly as he does so, almost oblivious to the other boy.

In fact, because he hasn't had too much company in his TARDIS at the Inn, he's so used to going about things in his own manner, without consideration to other. So until Reid speaks up and starts to move around again, he had forgotten the other was there altogether.

"Oh, oh, so sorry." A chuckle, "Would you care for some tea? Or would you prefer something different? I know we have water and even cocoa, I'm sure..."

He sets his things aside and quickly moves to poke about his own cabinets. Ah, it was unlikely that he knew where anything was in his kitchen, what with everyone pushing things about.

He really hadn't thought anything of the other making tea, having far too much fun poking around himself to really think to be offended. Not like he would have been anyway, it didn't much matter what other people did in times of food and drink, everyone had their set patterns and he knew that.

Peeking out from behind a cabinet he gives a bit of thought to the other's question. "I'll have whatever you're having," he decides with a grin. "You've tried something of mine and now it's my turn to do the same."

And back he goes until he emerges with a bag of of pretzels and a smile. Hopping on the counter, one leg crossed over the other, he will merely watch as the blond goes about his business, occasionally tossing a pretzel into his mouth.

He likes this feeling he has right now, of happiness, ofcontentment and relaxation. He likes it quite a bit.

"Will you, really?" Why the Doctor is almost amused at this, he doesn't know. "I have several types of tea if you'd rather something different." And really, he only has others to suit his older self's fancy.

He tends to the tea for a little while until he actually pours two cupfuls, dropping a decent amount of honey in both of them. Also, in the same manner, if Reid doesn't like it? Well, he'll surely drink the extra tea at some point.

"Here you are, Simple English with a little bit of honey. It's my personal favorite," He smiles and offers the cup out, only to turn and sip at his own when he is relinquished of it. "Careful now, it is a bit hot still."

"Don't worry," Reid assures before he eats another pretzel. "I'll probably like it." If there's one thing about Reid that people like, it's that he's pretty easy to please when it comes to things like this.

Abandoning his other snack, he brings the cup close to his lips, sniffing at it a moment before poking his tongue out and having a quick taste. When there's a pleased grin on his face, the Doctor should assume that he very much likes it.

Taking a sip, he lets his eyes slide shut a moment as he presses his back up against the cabinetry. "I don't see it replacing my coffee," he starts with a light laugh. "But let me say that it might come pretty close."

Nothing will separate Reid from his coffee, it just won't happen.

Oh, the Doctor is beyond pleased to see that Reid is actually enjoying the tea a little bit. "Oh, lovely." A laugh, "Everyone has their favorites, so I didn't expect it to beat yours. I'll admit, coffee can be a favorite every so often."

There's a nod and he's sipping at his tea again, "But I have to say tea is most certainly my preference." There is silence before he looks back to the other, "When you're finished, I think it would probably be wise for you to go rest a little more."

Of course, Reid doesn't have to, but the Doctor is only making a suggestion. Even if it's just getting off of his feet for the day.

Downing the rest of the tea, he sets the cup aside. "I'm okay," he announces as he hops off the counter, only to find himself wobbling and gripping it tightly so that he might keep himself steady.

A sheepish grin. "Or maybe I'm not."

Biting down on his lower lip a moment, he takes a breath before asking, "Doctor? Could I stay in your room? I'm not going to touch anything, I promise, I just..." Feel safer there.

"I don't have to if you don't want me to," he's quick to add. "I don't even have to stay here. I have a room in the Inn, I was just hoping.."

When Reid wobbles a little, he's setting his tea aside and quick to move, just in case the other were to fall.

"Easy now, like I said, we can't having you becoming too strong of friends with the TARDIS's floor."

He turns to down the rest of his tea before the other's question is voice, "I don't see where there would be a problem with that, no."

Even as the other continues to speak, he merely shakes his head and quiets him, "As I said, the TARDIS is as much your home as it is mine, you know. I think you put too much thought into all of this, yes. Well, granted, it is a piece of complicated technology, but that is highly beyond the point!"

A sigh, "Let's just get you to bed, shall we?" He's looping an arm around the other's back again, for support.

Reid's smile is far too big to hide, so he doesn't even bother. "Thanks," he starts as he leans against the other slightly. "Really just...Thank you."

There's a bit of a laugh and he shakes his head. "I've heard that a lot," he informs. "I can't help it though. Besides, it seems impossible to think lightly when it comes to...Well, all this." He gestures around the vaguely.

"Not that I'm complaining of course. I love it here, I really do."

There's just another nod as he starts back towards the room, realizing just how ice it was going to be to lay down again. A yawn escapes him and he looks to the other. "Could we go somewhere when I wake up? I don't really care where just...Somewhere. Not here."

Five is carefully helping the other to the bedroom that had emerged from only moments ago. He's glad Spencer seems to be in, roughly, one piece. Even if things are still a little foggy, he doesn't mind. They've done more than enough for the day.

"Oh, well, assuming you're feel well, then yes, I suppose we could. At least a short trip." The Doctor smiles and, upon entering his room, helps Reid to sit at the edge of the bed.

"Where to?" He questions, "Or should I surprise you, hm?" A smile.

"Surprise," Reid says without hesitation. "Definitely a surprise."

Even if he wanted to, there was no way that he would be able to make a decision on where to go. The options were endless and just...No, he's much rather leave it up to the Doctor for now.

Moving so that he might get under the covers, Reid will just watch the other for a few moments before eyes wander to study the rest of the room. He knows that in moments he's going to fall asleep, drift off into whatever his mind would throw at him but for now he was content, for now he was safe and warm and cared for.

Curling up on one side, a hand will reach out to grasp at the older male's, giving it a light squeeze of thanks before once again going back under the covers.

"A surprise it is."

Because the Doctor has already broken the barriers of personal space, he decides to curl up on one side of the bed (sure to leave some room between himself and the other) finding himself a little tired after all of that.

When the other's hand is squeezing his own, he returns the gesture, "Dream sweet." He murmurs, at least resting his own eyes until the other was awake again and ready to travel.
