It's 2004 and science reigns superior to mine intelligence
I hate technology.
But first let me start by saying that Vegas was way awesome. Xtina and I had a great roomie time. Highlights:
-You're so gaight!
-Koichi won $1.7 million!
-What baby?!?! (and I might I add that this is the first and ONLY funny inside joke that I have come up with in my history of being a company member and I attain full credit for it! haha)
-What shoes? No no, fuck shoes!
-Dane Cook in general.
-Jacqueleen and Meechelle.
-Mobi Ditch
-AND you don't eat!
-Renata knocking over her chair in her flurry to get to stage to accept her "I try my best" award.
-People's reactions as they smell the flamingo and penguin poo.
-Gelato.
-Cristina proposing to hot Josh.
-Paula's apple martinis.
-aaaaand lastly...the DQ commercial. If you've seen it, you'll know. We couldn't sleep til we'd seen it.
Good times indeed. Woulda been nice to see more of them though =(
Onto my technology frustrations.
So everyone knows my computer got a crappy virus and I lost everything. Files, music, pictures, everything. I'll hopefully be able to retrieve most of my pictures from the friends I sent copies of them to, and a lot of my files were on my storage device, plus i have most of my music on CD. But last night I was reinstalling some programs like MusicMatch and my photo editing studio thing.
So I installed Norton and it freaked out so I had to uninstall it. Then I couldn't get to my desktop for ages. When I finally did, I discovered that some of my programs aren't fully updated and can't be so without an Internet connection, which I do not have. I need to look up how to get a wireless internet card for desktops.
So I'm on Mission: retrieve as many of my pics as I can, rip all of my CDs onto my computer, and get the internet at home so I can try to restore my computer to what it used to be before my fucking virus attacked. Again, I hate technology.
But on the bright side, I love V dub! Even though I'm just doing file work at the dealership for now, the time goes by pretty quickly and the people there are really funny. I'm working Monday-Thursday 9:30-4:30 with an hour for lunch whenever I please, along with not too bad pay. There's some guys my age who workl there, no girls unfortunately, but they're all very friendly. Yay for work friends. And no, I'm not being flirty.
When this file project is done, my boss said he'd have some stuff for me to do, and the receptionist I work with, Nicki, hinted that I'd basically be filling a receptionist position since I was hired as one. Maybe my pay will increase when I do =)
You guys remember Carly and Romina from the studio? Yeah, Romina came into work today and recognized me before I did her. She was really sweet...looks a lot older though and her hair is red. She reminds me of how they used to smoke with Stephanie before class and Lara would yell at them. Haha.
Mike came to town for 4th of July and we had a lot of fun at Jessie's block party and fireworks in TO. We hauled ass during the finale to beat traffic and it worked for the most part. There was a terrible water fight at the block party though...luckily I sought refuge inside and was spared. Lesson learned that night: I'm too heavy for Mike to give me a piggy back ride for more than 100 feet. So sad =(
