Destiny
Man, these are getting longer and longer apart aren't they? It's not really surprising I suppose, this has always been a gaming journal and there hasn't been much gaming for me lately (hashtagfitness). I'm realizing I never actually made a Dark Souls 2 entry though.. which is a bit of a travesty since I definitely loved every second of it. But other than that there hasn't been much to speak of. At least until a few weeks ago when I got Destiny.
I don't want to get it twisted though, as my playtime has been limited to an hour or two per night if I'm lucky. I mostly play with my brother and we're only just now hitting 21+. If you haven't seen me on that's because I decided to get the game on the PS3 and wait until the holidays to get a PS4. Bungie actually made that decision pretty easy for me when they decided to give the game to PS4 owners for free if they digitally purchased the PS3 version (with characters converted to the new system and all!). Hoping to get lucky with a price cut, or perhaps an awesome Bloodborne bundle?
I think the game is pretty great, and I'm a bit surprised by some of the heat I've seen it getting. Maybe people expected it to reinvent the wheel or something, I don't know. The story was pretty disappointing.. but it's not the kind of game where I'd care too much about that. I am loving what I am seeing in Heroic strikes and The Crucible, and I think the gameplay is top notch for a console shooter. I played a Warlock in the beta, but decided to go with a Titan for launch. Building for Agility and Strength/Shoulder Charge with Auto Rifle and Shotgun... which I honestly have no idea what I am doing so I wouldn't be surprised if that turns out to be lulzy. I'm sure I'll need to touch Defender at some point when I get to the raids.. but I haven't even tried it yet. Still decked out in blues, though my brother just got our first collective legendary. Ended up being a shotgun, so I hate him a little. I hope to be able to get into Vault of Glass pretty soon as I hear its phenomenally hard on first timers.
I guess that's all I have to really say about Destiny right now, I kind of just wanted to update this puppy with something. Maybe the Vault of Glass will make for a better entry later! Cheers~
