First. I am participating in the Law Student Government (LSG) elections! I decided to run for 3rd Year Batch Representative. I have so many ideas about solutions on (petty but) evasive law school problems, it made me realise that I could attend to them best if I'm in that position. So hence, the running. It's my first law school related elections, since when I won block treasurer, it was only because Jam Crisostomo was more persuasive in getting me voted when no one really knew each other. So, good luck to me! (okay, this part, is rather pathetic).
I Am Sweet Participants, sans Pat Tobias.
Second. The holidays! I really like Valentine's Day, and not because of the cupcakes and the sweets, but because it's such a nice time to just hang out with friends. Love is not mutually exclusive to romantic relationships. Choz! So we spent Valentine's Eve with a movie hanging-out thing. It was fun, everything from eating pasta with chopsticks, to talking about tragic exams and uh... well, overall "news" (figure out what that euphemism means =P). Since we were all non-Chinese, we still greeted the New Year with uh... well, the photo you see above. According to Candice See, female year-of-the-tigers are generally unlucky in love because the mother-in-law don't like agressive females. My question is, how will there be a mother-in-law if there was no luck in love? But then, like how my panel interviewer got me earlier this week, love is not the goal of marriage, and is definitely not the public policy with it x__X And my answer? Love is the answer. Gosh, I'm so sabog.
Third. I want the long weekend naaaaaaaaaa! I have a new racket starting tomorrow. I hope I successfully survive my juggling act.
Fourth!! How can I forget (and I'm editing this entry). The
LAE results are out! So last Saturday, I was checking it out, and I decided to go back to the library to study for my Partnership class. On my way, I was singing "
So Much Better" when an old, pleasant couple approached me and the following conversation ensued:
Man: Good afternoon!
Me: Good afternoon po!
Lady: Alam mo ba kung lumubas na yung results?
Me: Ah, lumabas na po.
Man: Nasaan nakalagay?
Me: Baba po kayo diyan, tapos kaliwa kayo sa dulo.
Man/Lady: Okay, thank you iha ha.
Me: Sige po, good luck po doon sa hahanapin niyo. *starts walking*
Man: Siguro you're one of the people who passed?
Me: *giggles* Ah, student na po ako. I passed, two years ago.
The fact that people find my youth still intact makes me feel... better about being in law school. Hehehehehehe. Congratulations to my (UPDS) friends who passed, Nash, Jennie, Arianne, Joel, AnaRod and Mark Batac (wow, the most in a batch!). I saw a few familiar names like Jesus Falcis, Mikee Victoriano (also from the debating circuit), and Debbie Bolos, who was my co-intern in Globe. There were also people from economics, and two of the individuals running for USC chair passed also. Interesting Batch 2014/2015.
