No seriously. But the raspy voice won't be around that long, so I guess that's something to be happy about even if my respiratory system is in demise. Why am I sick anyway? Well, fatigue. Even if "somehow I do not lose much sleep" (Aaron Schultz, Legally Blonde: the Musical), I was so tired. Let's recap the past few days.

Valentine's Day! See the joy in my eyes. To be fair, it was fun, I had free lunch with IDEA, and we were with Dr. Paderanga, but I must say the funnest part is uh... well, I'll just tell you about the second funnest part, which was photoshoot! Whee! And when I got home, my dad was also home (earlier than me - rare), and he had flowers for my mom (another rare thing), plus he got his new flash from the States so another photoshoot (but at this point my face is all oily and waz)! Yes, Valentine's Day is a really happy holiday.

I was in Makati. For the rally. But then my father made me go home because of the plausible breech in security. I didn't see the speeches or whatever, but it's safe to say that it is my *first* rally (or witnessed rally, I wasn't chanting or marching or whatever). Yes, I did not go to EDSA II, since I believe in due process (honestly, it was one friggin envelope, surely there were other evidenciary support?). But why I went to the rally, or why I wanted to go in the first place was because I'm tired of the mafia elite ruling this country. Of course people are concerned of the state of the country after you get rid of this administration, and obviously it won't be a perfect world. But the idea is to be consistent with what the country believes in, if the next administration fucks up, then subject them to the same scrutiny. And to ride with the public adulation, I really like Jun Lozada even for all his theatrics and even if I'm so annoyed how a junked project like the ZTE could still receive so much legislative attention. It's important to get out the truth, and I'm just so proud how he could do it and risk his life (me saying GMA is evil won't get me a libel case, which makes what I say less influential). For attention-whores like me, being a star witness is probably one way to achieve ultimate attention, but then again, I'll have to give my kin and loved ones (ahehehe) their second identities and ship them off to Alaska for reasons of political asylum. It's a price one has to pay if you're a star witness and you want to keep your family out of the issues. Anyway, I'm babbling now.

I was so tired this day. I was driven around, took a cab, the jeep, the MRT all in one day (well, I walked rin, duh). While some people will have these different modes of transport in their daily itinerary, nakakapagod pa rin siya. I started my day in the first world school of International School of Manila (Fort Bonifacio, Taguig), then back to Quezon City (thesis consult) and I bumped into some chums so we went to Amici (Italian food place in Makati), the top of Makati Cinema Square (nice view) and then back to Quezon City. Feeling ko, along the way I got really tired and ergo, I caught "something".

Incubation of my sickness. Good thing it came after my Church duties. And then my cousins came and I made them watch Legally Blonde: The Musical, which I totally fell in love with again. And on...
February 18
I re-watched Legally Blonde, and I realised that the musical does a much better job in a lot of things. The transformation from in-love-blonde-who-followed-ex-to-law-school to hard-core law student was better facilitated through the song "Chip on my Shoulder" and Emmet Forrest's character was emphasized even more as the support system to Elle's success (because in the movie, the only bonding of Elle and Emmet is the time they were at the bench and when they went to the spa for an inquiry). My favourite song in the musical "So Much Better" was a direct quote from the film, but the film didn't capitalise on the event as a character achievement, the sense of fulfilment for the protagonist for overcoming one of the stereotypes imposed against her. This is the part where I always cry when I watch the musical, but in the film, it was such a fluff moment.
Oooh!!! Ali Larter (Jessica/Nicki of Heroes) pala was Brooke Windham!

I think I'm still sick. But getting better. Coz I am so much better than before!
Now it's academic writing time Celeni.
