Yesterday was such a WAFAZ day. As in one of those days that you hear the clock ticking on you as you hop to one place to another, being puzzled with life-changing dilemmas and being confronted by the consequences of your previous "choices".
So after my Urban Economics class with Dr. Dondon Paderanga, Cecille and I hopped to the other-side of the metro to have a luncheon with Globe. To avoid Christmas traffic, we took the MRT and walked three blocks to Astoria Plaza (in my fabulous new shoes who hurt my toes so badly). When we got there, they dangle a job contract infront of our eyes, and while I still feel it's v. early, it's also v. tempting because of the compensation. But of course, you have to take into consideration prior plans, which includes lifetime goals and optimising options. Nevertheless, nothing shall be final until the 15th of January, I'm just glad to feel wanted.
And then, I went to the mall with Cecille to run some "errands". Which included make-up shopping! I like shopping with Cecille. As I talked to her about my long term idealism and how I might defer the Globe option, her simple question was "How are you going to support your lifestyle?" Ka-ching. That registered faster than the cashier. But of course, that's just an element of consideration.
After Shangri-la, I rushed back to school, since I needed to print the awards for the UPDS Christmas Party. Dr. Paderanga was just up from his nap and spontaneously I asked for counsel. The last counsel he gave me was on uh... boys, and advised that 3 to 4 is a safe number to balance in your boyfriend portfolio. Whether or not I took that advice, is up to you to find out. And yes, it turned out he was an accountant, and I quote "I would still be husking coconuts if La Salle didn't give me a scholarship." It almost sounded like a joke, but indeed, he was really insightful. Especially the bit where after his first job (SGV), he started teaching economics at around age 19 or 20, and he'd go to parties with his students who were his age. Wuh... that's hot.
As soon as I begun my printing tasks, Charo Logarta of ANC bursts into the door asking for a macroeconomic forecast interview and while Dr. Paderanga modestly said "but I can't do it!" Charo said, "Sir kayo pa, you can do that in your sleep."
Lyndree, Wy, my favourite professor [Dr. Dondon Paderanga], girl extraordinaire Celeni, former UPDS president and reporter Charo Logarta, and Jeny. Taken by Blessie Sto. Tomas.
Charo brought up the UP Debate Society actually, and I politely responded to her inquiries as if she was addressing me. I thought she was our second president in the history of the Society, and she sai "Hindi, THIRD naman" and laughed. After Dr. Paderanga's interview, she refused our invitation to our party, because the news people had a presentation at ABS-CBN for their own company Christmas party.
And so this is Christmas. I had to turn down going to the Globe Christmas party even if "we wouldn't go hungry nor thirsty" and we were already given BMAP IDs for the event at (take note) Araneta Coliseum.
IDEA Christmas party commenced. It was fun even if I missed Karaoke. The Exchange Gift revelation was just super fun. No one thought that I was my codename. Mwahahahahahahaha. Thanks to Tin, who was my "mommy".
The IDEA SAs 2007: Bryan, Daryl (by vanishing point), May, Tin, Kriss, Jinky, Celeni. [not in the picture: Merci, Brylle and Rocky].
I cut the IDEA Christmas party short because Nikko Briguera of Channel N! announced that if I don't show up at the UPDS Christmas party (costume party), FO na kami (friendship over). So I trooped there with Ana Rod (in a masquarade costume), Nash (as the Diliman student regent nominee *giggles*), Joel (as a janitor, este, Ateneo high school student), Gino ("law student"), Sir Martin ("photographer"), and me (infernez, soccer player).
Looking through Fish Eyes. I took this picture from Bo's aquarium. You can see Jessica sitting, and Sir Martin taking photographs. Taken & Edited by Celeni.
The party was fun. In this really retarded way, as Debsoc fashion always prescribes. As usual, the insanity that happened in the party, stays in the party. It was that day of the year almost everyone had Christmas parties. Holiday spirit, kicking in. Celeni, over and out.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS ♥
