I just bought....
a fiddle. A nice little beginners fiddle and instruction packet.
I did a little reseach first and found the one that got the best reviews for my price range. I have to admit being pretty amazed at how much prices have gone down since I got my last musical instrument (a flute, and a pretty shitty one at that).
I got the fiddle with case, a stand, some rosin and an instruction packet for 160.00
I've always been impatient with myself and musical instruments, but I have a pretty good feeling about this one.
Besides, I've _always_ wanted to learn to play one.

P.S. - I got the idea for my Epic series. Right now I'm trying to figure out first story arc logistics. Hoody-hoo.
