Fables, anyone?
I've been reading the new Vertigo series, Fables, about everyone's favorite fairytale folk, forced to live in our world, in New York City.
The mediocre writing aside, the art is good and the premise has very great possibility. I'm actually thinking of writing a Fables fic myself, just for the hell of it.
So, here's my question. What qualifies as a fable? Are the gods on Mount Olympus fables? What about Rama and Krishna? Or Jesus? Is there room for religious icons in the world of Fables? What is the exact difference between the two? Maybe if you tell a story enough times....it just becomes a Fable.
