Hello there guys~ I'm not really into JE as much as everyone else yet, so for now you're getting what I can remember of one of my English Exam questions. XD I really liked writing it, although the original was like... 547 words long. (XD I had that long left over to count the words...) The first sentence was the prompt you got. :3 So enjoy~
Title: Switching off
Inspiration: English Exam
Rating: PG - Theme
Word Count: 429
He hoped he had the strength to do what was right. His fingers fumbled over each other, smoothing themselves as he tried to calm down. However, when he ran along a certain finger, he just felt violently ill. He put his hand to his mouth, standing up slowly and walking out of the room. He shut the door gently, a small smile crossing his grief stricken face as he remembered all the times he had to apologise for accidentaly slamming doors when he wasn't the least bit angry. But as he felt the fingers press against his mouth, he felt worse and pushed them away.
He leaned against the wall. Life slowed down. Everyone just drifted past, no one asking him why he had stepped away. But it wasn't that they didn't care. They understood. Possibly more than he did. It sped back up again as a warm hand was placed on his shoulder, and he looked up with excitement, but he was quickly saddened.
"Have you made up your mind?" It asked, the male shaking his head softly. The white coated figure pointed towards the door, his warm hand pulling away from the males body. "Then I think you should spend more time." It suggested, pushing the male onto the other side. All the male wanted to do right then was run away, but he just bit his lip let the darkness engulph him.
There was only a bit of light from the corner of the room, although the medical sounds weren't natural. Then again, what happened wasn't natural. He walked over to the bed, sitting back down next to it for possibly the last time. He took her hand, rubbing his fingers like he had done to his hand previously. He felt ill as he ran over one finger, trying to hold back tears as he kissed the metal surrounding it. Long black hair lay around the pale figure, but you could barely tell there was a girl under all the red and wires.
He stood up. He walked to the door. He didn't turn around. He stopped.
"I-I'll... Always love you." He almost choked through his words. "Please tell me I'm making the right choice..." He left the room.
The white coated figure walked over to the male as he came out, touching his arm compassionately.
"Would you like us-"
"I wouldn't like you to, but it's what is right." He said bitterly, the taste of the ring coming through in his speech. The figure nodded, sending some other people into the room.
"Switch it off."
XD I preferred what I wrote in the exam~ But it was really long. D: And this wasn't. lolz~ Anyhow, look forward to more, okay?
