Macomb Community college is cutting it's theatre program! We need your help to stop this! No matter where you live, we need you to sign the petition by clicking here.
Here is the letter that they sent to one of our professors.
"Would you please make the following statement to your students:
After careful and thorough examination to all aspects of the Theater Arts Program at Macomb Community College the decision has been made to indefinitely suspend the Program. All classes tentatively scheduled for the Winter Semester 2007 have been cancelled.
The intention of the timing of this notice is to allow you to best direct your future plans.
There are many fine Theater Arts Programs in area colleges and universities. The Macomb 2 Oakland program means that any student at Macomb Community College is automatically enrolled at Oakland University and vice versa. This allows ample opportunity for a smooth transition to the Theater Arts Program at Oakland University. Oakland University is but one of many choices."
There has been no thought about it. they haven't considered it carefully at all!
