Mmm, landskap...
Lovely, lovely landskap.
Just got home after a very entertaining after party; good music a splendid rum&coke and far too much dancing and working.
Karateworking is fun. Helped out with the dishes and sorted through the glasses (again) and almost cleaned out the spex dressing room. Held off the latter for risk of being locked in 'til early morning. Would not be pleasant. Even when locked in with booze and costumes.
Anyway.
One of the more lengthy landskap this year, but since we didn't have any Big elections it passed pretty quickly. Dinner was superb, ate four starters.
Micke held one of the most entertaining welcome speeches of the term (and this is a guy who is known for his funny speeches). New senior held one of the most boring speeches of the term, hadn't seen the guy before. Lots of booze to keep me happy though, lived to tell the tale.
Saturday was the date of the grand celebration of the 100 year anniversary of a donation of a very big painting (or at least the cartoon of a very famous one). Was celebrated with a ball of exuberant proportions.
Made the costumes for the spex (see earlier post), finished the last touches about 2-3 hours before curtain. Me=genious. Me happy.
Ball was grand. Five courses, one containing fish, a rarely seen commodity at dinners here. Lovely fish, especially with the fried apple.
Went home at one because of exhaustion from not sleeping the night before. Still very satisfied with night, got to dance a lot. Found I was actually enjoying it and apparently was good at it. Surprised.
Now going to sleep. Am going to clean room tomorrow, looks like Hiroshima in August 1945. But with pieces of cloth all over.
