Edrahil and I have arrived at the door of Bag End, slightly worse for the wear. Shire mud has some sort of clinging effect to one's boots. Both Edrahil and I slipped several times while slogging to the smial. We must warn Frodo and Sam about the impending danger! Then we will hasten to Back End and warn those who may be there. We have no time to ( Read more... )

It must be the urgency of our mission that made the journey here seem to take so much longer than it did. That, and the bog we apparently crawled through. Are these hobbits stout-hearted? If we have to calm any hysterics, it will take us that much longer to reach the others. *runs a mud and leaf gobbed hand distractedly through his hair*

Sam and Frodo both seem level-headed and sedate. We shall take but a moment here before hurrying to Back End--and any other Ends for which we possibly have time.

*raps loudly on door* Hello? Frodo? Sam? Is anyone home? Oh, do hurry!

Fro *from inside the library hears someone knocking* Who could that be? Sam, would you answer the door?

*receives no response* Oh, Sam went to market. How forgetful of me.

*closes book; walks down hall to front door; opens it* Who...OMGWHATISTHIS???

Sam! Help me! PLEASE!!!!!

ROBBERS! Um...I think? One's that need bathing at any rate. _misterfrodo October 17 2005, 04:50:31 UTC
*gasps* You won't get away with this! I have guards posted all around the smial! And a very expensive alarm system which will ring loudly the moment you step...or is it 'slime'...over the threshold!

*grabs an umbrella which was leaning against a coat rack; brandishes it in a not very menacing manner*

*pokes at Edrahil with umbrella* You are NOT elves! Elves are clean and never have even a hair out of place!

You are robbers of the WORST KIND! Sam will be FURIOUS if you track mud all over the floor!

*desperately* Frodo! It is I, Celebrimbor! I have come here with a friend of mine named Edrahil to warn you about something.

We are not robbers or thieves. Believe me!

*aside to Celebrimbor* Why does he keep offering me that strange walking stick? Is this some sort of hobbit custom?

*bows elegantly showering little specks of mud about him Hello, I am Edrahil. You may be in great danger.

I know that ring!!! _misterfrodo October 17 2005, 05:12:17 UTC
Narya! What happened to you, beautiful one? *lowers umbrella* I mean...I apologize, Celebrimbor. I did not recognize you.

*turns to Edrahil* Actually, YOU are the one in danger, Edrahil. Sam did these floors only yesterday and will be very cross when he has to wipe away muddy footprints.

*remembers his manners* I am Frodo Baggins, at your service. *bows*

Frodo, you must excuse our respective appearances. Or rather, my own. My friend Edrahil does not look as...disheveled as I know I must be.

More to the point, Edrahil has run across a terrible creature that is heading toward the Shire! I felt I had to warn as many hobbits as I could.

*quick grin at the Elf* You are too polite. I know I must look quite a fright judging by the hobbit's reaction.

It is a vicious creature that should be avoided at all costs. Please do not wander outdoors once the sun has set.

*worried* You are speaking of a warg, no doubt. We have had several sightings of these foul beasts during the past year. Why, my own half-brother suffered grievous injuries as a result of an encounter.

No, I will tell Sam and neither of us will venture outside after dark.

A warg? No, this is much worse than a warg. I am sorry to hear that. I hope your half-brother has recovered sufficiently.

*glances at Celebrimbor* Have there been sightings of other creatures of Morgoth?
