Ianto woke to the sound of people talking upstairs. He frowned to himself and groaned softly while trying to figure out what on Earth was going on until all of a sudden it hit him. That was Gwen, talking to Jack in his office and Ianto was in Jack´s bed. Butt naked and smelling of sex from the activities from the previous night.
Looking at his wrist, he noticed his watch gone and shifting under the covers he found it on a small shelf on the wall, where Jack kept little things, probably his wrist band whenever he was sleeping. “Fuck,” He muttered to himself, noticing it was close to ten am and he looked around anxiously before finding a note taped to the ladder.
“Stay down there until noon, I’ll send them all out and ´maybe´ I´ll let you come out.”
Ianto snorted at that and shook his head until noticing his suit was nowhere to be seen, realization hit him yet one more time.
This was it. He was trapped… in Jack´s bunker.
Arching an eyebrow to himself he wondered if that was a very bad thing or a very good thing…
Resting his head on the pillow, because he had at least an hour and half to kill without being able to make it out of there unnoticed, Ianto pressed an arm over his eyes and bit his lower lip while thinking on the events of the previous night.
He couldn´t help thinking about how he had woken up in the middle of the night after a nightmare to find Jack holding him, kissing his brow, reassuring him things were alright and ordering him to go back to sleep.
Had that happened? Or had he dreamed it too?
The Welshman wasn´t sure anymore… it was all blurred, after what they had done, everything got blurry.
After some time thinking about the events of the day, he shifted until he was on his stomach, making sure the sheets clung to the lower parts of his body (because that was the only thing he could do to cover himself up) and started looking around the confined space.
It was most definitely tiny, it held very little. Jack´s clothes; he knew that wardrobe like the back of his hand, he re-organized it whenever he got new clothes for Jack, or whenever he needed to make sure his waistcoats weren´t decorated with remains of pizza sauce amongst other things…
There was a tiny desk with papers on it. He had no idea what they were. He wasn´t going to snoop… A series of books caught his attention though, and getting up, sheet fastened to his waist he started going through the titles until he found one he´d read a long time ago and going back to the cot. Opening it to read it, he found it signed by- was that really the author?
Considering it was Jack´s, that shouldn’t come as a surprise.
Looking up to the currently closed hatch, he opened the book and started going through the well known words until eventually, the cover opened to show Jack looking down, grinning at him like a Cheshire cat.
“Hmm, I'm seriously considering locking you down here more frequently,” Jack said before making it down the ladder himself, ogling Ianto who was sitting on his bed, wearing nothing more than a sheet that clung poorly to his waist, revealing his legs from under it, because it was actually quite hot.
“I’m sure you are,” Ianto said with a grin, before putting the book down and glaring up at Jack, though he wasn´t mad. He should be, but funnily enough, he was actually amused, “I know you well enough to know opening the lid of your ´bedroom´ to find a naked man poorly covered with a sheet to be more than an appealing idea.”
“Couldn´t have put it better myself,” Jack said cheekily and sat down next to the Welshman.
“You should’ve woke me,” Ianto said, looking Jack in the eye as he spoke.
“I thought about it, but I figured you could do with sleeping in. So I just let you sleep. I told the others you were out running some errands, so it should be safe.”
“What if there was some emergency? What would you have done then?”
“Got you out and not given a damn as to what the rest might think. I am sleeping with you.”
Jack´s retort made Ianto raise an eyebrow and he flexed his leg as he looked at his ´boss´ “You’re serious,” He said, not asked, but said. Because he could tell Jack was serious about that.
“Do you have any problems with them knowing? I know you try to be private, I want to keep it private too, but sooner or later they’ll find out.”
“I know, I just didn´t think you would actually not mind if they did,” The Welshman said seriously and looked up at the ceiling of Jack´s office now, because the lid was still open before he felt Jack´s hand on his arm, something that made him look back at the other.
“I don´t.”
Feeling Jack´s hand on his cheek, Ianto leant closer to him until his lips were brushing against Jack´s cheek, before they met the other´s lips for a chaste kiss that started to deepen out of reflex.
“I need to go grab a shower and change…” Ianto breathed into the kiss. Though with Jack´s fingers tangled in his hair, holding him steady, pressing him against the wall and the Welshman couldn´t help but groaning defeatedly as he clung to the Captain, “Jack, I really… need to go shower,” He moaned as Jack´s hand pressed flatly against his groin and soon those skillful fingers were working on him, getting him hard in no time.
Watching Jack move downwards, Ianto moaned softly when Jack´s lips wrapped around the head of his cock and his head shot back as he tried keep his noises as low as he could possibly manage, just in case someone made it back before they were done.
His fingers soon tangled in Jack´s hair, tugging it slightly as Jack´s mouth worked its best tricks on him. That wicked tongue swirling around the head of his cock, teasing the slit before his teeth rasped ever so gently on the hyper sensitive skin making Ianto squirm in his place until his fingers were clutching the sheets.
The small room reeked of sex, he could smell it now, as the air from the Hub made it down there, he could smell it as Jack kept on giving him head and he started to deep throat him until Ianto came to those luscious lips and that skillful throat.
Watching the other with never ending attention, Ianto kissed Jack to taste himself in the other´s mouth.
“Can´t have a naked Welshman in my bed and do nothing about it.”
Jack grinned against the kiss, and Ianto pushed him back against the wall before his hand pressed against the Captain´s groin feeling his hard on, “I should leave you like this.” he whispered before sucking on Jack´s lower lip. “Wouldn’t it be punishment enough for leaving me trapped here all morning?”
“You weren´t trapped. You were resting,” Jack pointed out. “Didn´t you enjoy your morning off? You should be thanking me for it.”
The Welshman smirked at the cheeky words before he undid the zipper of Jack´s pants and his hand worked on getting Jack´s hard on from within their confines.
His tongue fucked Jack´s mouth as he kept on stroking him, he loved feeling Jack melting under his touch and soon, Ianto´s lips were wrapped around the head of Jack´s cock, as he started sucking him off.
The little sounds of pleasure Jack made, encouraging him to go further, sucking harder, taking him deeper… until come hit the back of his throat.
Ianto moaned softly around Jack as he swallowed and licked Jack clean before finding the other´s lips for a kiss that now combined both their tastes, both of them mingling into one unique, special flavor, “What do you do to me?” He asked huskily, as his hand pressed to Jack´s chest, because in his entire lifetime, Ianto had ´never´ acted this way towards anyone. Much less in a workplace and with someone who was his boss.
“Probably much less than what you do to me.”
The Welshman looked at Jack curiously because he really didn´t think he was up to any average guy Jack would ´look´ for. They were, to put it plainly, opposites in so many ways…
The silence was broken by some noise coming from upstairs and Ianto looked up worriedly before looking at Jack who fixed his clothes.
“Alright, I'll go check. I left clothes for you in the bathroom, grab a shower, get changed and pretend you were out and about the whole morning, otherwise the rest will get jealous that they didn´t get the morning off,” Jack winked at Ianto.
“I’m not sure I have any more shirts here, the last time I checked I needed to get more,” Ianto said getting up and held the sheet around his waist tightly. He looked up and noticed Jack leering at him, “You´re impossible!” He said with a chuckle.
“I am just admiring a perfectly built body!” Jack replied making a small gesture with his hands.
“I was saying, I don´t have any more clean shirts here.”
“I know, I left one of mine with your clean suit. But you should keep more clothes here.”
“Apparently, I do,” Ianto said mostly to himself, because sure, before he used to change quite often due to several reasons but of late, he was barely ever going to his apartment at all.
“Right, checking out.”
After pecking Jack back on the lips, Ianto smiled privately and watched Jack climbing up the ladder before he said the coast was clear. Ianto followed and made it to the showers across from Jack´s office in no time, until he was under the spray because he was sure he had very little time to go un-noticed, without giving away where he had really been all morning.

The day went on without further ado, Ianto busied himself with his files and preparing coffee for whoever was around, while Owen and Gwen, well to put it plainly, made it obvious that Jack and himself hadn´t been the only busy ones during lunch time.
Tosh kept on acting odd and Owen was obsessing over the corpse they had discovered to be a male instead of a female. It had turned out that the chest wound was nothing like the previous diagnosis Owen had made, but a completely different one.
Something, or someone, had ripped the heart of the victim through its chest, in exactly the same way as several other victims that were no more than un-resolved police and medical files now.
Jack asked them to stay late that night. Somehow, the Captain knew what to expect because eventually Toshiko entered to the Hub with a guest.
Jack was the first one to appear, carrying the transporter in his hands, getting the alien´s attention. Gwen stood on the other side of the catwalks, opposite to Owen, while Ianto stood near the stairs, trying to think of what to do as the alien, Mary, took Tosh hostage.
“Not again. Please, God, not again,” He thought to himself as he watched the scene unfolding before his eyes. It hadn’t been long ago that Tosh and himself had been captured by cannibals, now this? The second time, in such a short amount of time…
Mary seemed to read Owen´s mind, Ianto refrained himself from showing any possible emotion that could give up his surprise to that and he looked at them all waiting, like everyone else to see what could be done until Jack spoke.
“Keep the knife and I'll give you the transporter myself.”
The Captain said, and Ianto knew it to be a bluff, but still. He thought it could work, but he still remained alert for what might happen.
As predicted, it did work. Mary pushed Tosh towards Owen and Ianto watched Jack flirting with Mary until the transporter enabled itself and soon, after a bright light appeared from within the device itself, Mary was gone.
Looking at Tosh, Ianto stood in his place as she moved close to the Captain.
“What did she ... ? Has she gone home?” She asked looking at Jack hopefully.
“I reset the co-ordinates.”
“Where to?” She demanded to know.
“To the center of the sun. It shouldn't be hot. I mean, we sent her there at night and everything.”
“You killed her.”
“Yes,” Jack´s voice came out harsh, and Tosh, if possible, seemed even more heartbroken than she had before as the Captain walked away without looking back at any of them.
Jack assigned him with the task of debriefing Tosh. It wasn´t an easy task to do. Ianto could relate to her in ways no one else at Torchwood could, but it was his job.
The fact that he could relate, was probably one of the reasons Jack put him up to doing this, instead of doing it himself.
Ianto nodded at Tosh and looked at her with worry in his eyes, even though she didn´t register it before she stood up and made her way outside.
Looking over his shoulder before he stood up, Ianto noticed Gwen and Owen waiting there like hyenas waiting to attack, and as said animals they did as soon as Toshiko was out.
Hadn´t she gone through enough already, Ianto wondered to himself. He moved to make his way out through the opposite door of the conference room and heading to Jack´s office he labeled the file and left it on Jack´s desk for him to read and add whatever he needed to add, if anything, before Ianto could put it in the archives.
Ianto made it down to the vaults to feed the Weevils and, truthfully, to waste some time. Even though he really felt like telling Owen and Gwen to give Tosh some space, but it wasn´t his place to do so.
Staying out of the way seemed like the best thing at the moment.
Making it upstairs after he was done feeding Torchwood´s residents and checking some things around, he went to get dinner and brought it downstairs to find Jack sitting at his desk going through the file, “Dinner´s here,” He announced noticing Jack was looking morose.
“Would you have used it?”
“The pendant?” Ianto asked and shook his head when Jack nodded at him and stretched in his chair, feeling obviously stressed with the situation.
“Why? I mean, it does seem quite tempting, to know what everyone thinks of you. To know what they are going to do, what they really want?”
“I don’t think I could handle that,” The Welshman said calmly while unpacking the cardboard boxes of food from the bags, “Knowing what people are really up to, what they want, what they might expect of me, what they really think…” he added, “I’d rather give them the chance to tell me themselves. To find out when the time is right, instead of getting glimpses of thoughts that will be most likely out of context when using that device or any similar ones. Would you have used it?” He asked curiously, glancing up to look at Jack, whose eyes were still focused on him.
“I don’t know,” Jack admitted.
Ianto noticed Jack smiling to himself and wondered, what exactly he was thinking of.
“I might have. Sometimes I have the feeling I miss things, important things…”
The heavy sigh implied Jack was feeling troubled, not only because of what had happened but because of the question itself, so Ianto focused on getting dinner served.
“I might have used it with one person; still, it would have never worked. He would have known I was using it, he´s that smart.”
Ianto caught the tense Jack used and refrained himself from asking, Jack was surely not talking about him, it was someone else, someone who was still alive and was important to him in a way, Ianto had had no clue said person could exist.
“You can always ask,” Ianto suggested.
“What?”
“I said, you can always ask. This man. Ask him whatever you would want or need to know,” He said after Jack looked at him distractedly.
“I guess I can,” Jack smiled and looked at his food, “As soon as I see him again.”
Ianto nodded and served them a couple drinks as Jack started on his dinner. He wasn´t sure as to how to feel when hearing about an unknown man that might sooner, or later re-apear in Jack´s life. Where would that leave him? What did they have? Was it just a shag for Jack? Was that all it was? Just fun?
“What are you thinking of?”
“I’m thinking about Tosh,” Ianto lied. Well, half lied because he was still worried about her, “I know how it is to feel so lonely. So- utterly alone you feel no one cares about you. I’m hoping she'll be alright,” The Welshman brought the drinks to the desk and sat opposite Jack.
“Yeah, I can relate to that as well,” Jack said quietly and emptied his glass.
Ianto pushed his untouched drink to Jack´s side and smiled at his boss, “We´ll keep an extra eye on her for a week or two, make sure she´s alright.”
“Is there anyone you don´t care about, Ianto?”
“What do you mean?”
“You have this tendency, to care for all of us. Even people you barely even know… how do you do that? How can you cope?”
“It is just the way I am, Jack,” Ianto shrugged his shoulders slightly and locked eyes with the other, “Not much more to it. Just me, being me.”
Jack smiled at him, and Ianto smiled back, “Now eat or it will get cold,” He pointed to Jack´s food.
“Getting bossy on me? I’m tempted to ask what would you do if I don´t obey.”
Ianto chuckled because Jack was back in a cheeky mood and shook his head while pretending to roll his eyes, “Some things will NEVER change,” He said jokingly and glanced up at Jack as he started on his own food. Because apparently, it was a habit now to have dinner at the Hub.
“Will you stay tonight?”
“Do you want me to?” Ianto asked as he kept on eating before it got cold, the mention of that unknown man clouding his mind with uncertainty now. Was he going to end up broken hearted?
Technically he shouldn´t, he wasn´t in love with Jack, it was just- comfort. Wasn’t it?
It should be fine, he shouldn´t care about some strange man, Jack might sound enthralled with. Not to mention one he sounded like he had impending business with.
“You can say no.”
Jack´s voice snapped him back to reality and Ianto blushed a little having being caught off guard, “I was only thinking, I ran out of clean shirts to wear.”
“Mine seem to suit you, if that is the only issue crossing your mind.”
Looking down at the shirt he was wearing, Ianto smiled because it was one of Jack´s, he didn´t own more than two blue shirts and none of this tonality. Jack had a thing for blue tonality shirts, Ianto knew as much, he bought them.
“Red might be your color, but blue definitely suits you. Though I’m torn, I’m not sure I like them on you because of the color matching your eyes. Or because I know they are mine and you´re the one wearing them.”
“What about, I stay the night, use another of your shirts tomorrow, and we try let you find out?”
“That does sound like a plan.”
Jack´s grin made Ianto smile and forgot for a while about this other man the Captain had mentioned. Sure there could be another man, there could be many, but at the moment Jack wanted ´him´ to stay and at the moment, that was more than enough for the Welshman.
He wanted to stay, he wanted to sleep with Jack and as much as a surprise as it was, it wasn’t only because he felt safe, it was because it was Jack. He was getting addicted to the other man.
