Thinking of getting into bookkeeping; do you know of a bookkeeper I could job shadow for a day?

As the topic says, I'm thinking of taking the Bookkeeping program at Langara. I'm aware that the pay is relatively low and there is little room for advancement, that is not a problem for me.

My only concern is that I would find the work absolutely mind-numbing and I would want to quit within weeks or even days. I did take basic accounting classes in high school (I didn't find it absolutely fascinating, but neither was it particularly distasteful), but I am assuming the actual job is somewhat different.

So, does anyone know any bookkeepers that I could job shadow for a day or two? I would be willing to run errands, fetch stuff, do filing etc. in return.
