I did. *kisses back* And you?

Yeah, I did. So . . . *puts away the broom* . . . what did you make?

*grabs her hand* Something for you. *puts the brooch in her hand*

*gasps* Oooooooh, Cellllyyyy! It's beautiful! Why it goes w--*stops herself abruptly* It's just beautiful! I can't believe you made this today? Wow--such fine work! *throws her arms around her* Thank you, lovely!

*laughs happily* Yes, today! You're welcome--I'm glad you like it. For some reason, I thought that was the colour for you. I don't know why.

I love it! *nods, looks at her thoughtfully* It is. *turns away quickly* So aren't you going to ask me about what I was making?

*smiles* Maaaaybe. What were you making, sweets?

*goes over to her work desk, then turns around with her hands behind her back* Oh something. *saunters up to Celly*

Whatcha got behind your back, Meeelba? *reaches for Melba's waist and starts sliding her hands around*

*leans against her* Somethin' I made for you. *leans in with her lips an inch from Celly's*

Well, I want it then. *her lips a hair's breadth away from Melba's*

Well then, I'll give it to you. *takes a step back and brings her hands around to her front, holding a wooden box* For you, lovely. *holds it out to her*

Oh, it's beautiful, Melba! *gingerly takes the box and runs her fingers over the carvings* Just gorgeous! *admires it a moment more, then leans over and kisses her* Thank you so much.

I'm glad you like it. *pleased smile*

You know, it's odd. *pins the brooch on her blouse* It feels like this brooch should be kept in that box-but no, don't give it back. It's just they go together, you know? *puts her hands round Celly's waist*
