It was a busy week. And an emotionally wrought one. The stress of it all has manifested itself in several ways. I'm starting to feel better though. The support from the people in my was amazing. I'm such a lone wolf that I forget there are people who are genuinely interested in my life and well-being. I am grateful.
Saturday night was fun. I played at an AIDS Life Cycle Benefit in Ventura for a dear friend of mine. She's making the ride this year (from San Francisco to Los Angeles) and has been so busy trying to raise the money. We did her proud raising close to $400 that night. I'm sure my brownies and peanut butter chocolate squares helped, too. :)
I have, however been completely sleep deprived. I made it through Saturday and Sunday on about 3 hours of sleep each. Both jam-packed days in terms of work and performance. Last night., I passed out while watching The Sopranos. I forced myself to sleep for almost 12 hours. It feels good.
Tonight - I'm playing at the Genghis Cohen. I was chosen to perform at this month's Songwriter Showcase by BMI. I'm excited since I'll be introduced to a lot of industry folk tonight.
After tonight - it's insane. Tuesday I have band rehearsal for Friday's show. Wednesday, my friend is having another AIDS Life Cycle Beneift in West Hollywood at the Palms. Thursday, I'm seeing the Rescues at the Hotel Cafe. And Friday night is my Birthday Show!! :)
Too much. Too much. But all worth it.
