12 of 12 - JUNE '07
Okay...I'm a bit excited. This is my first 12 of 12 and I gotta say it was a lot of fun. In case you're wondering what i'm talking about, 12 of 12 is a photo diary - 12 pictures detailing your day on the 12th of the month with one bonus picture based on a random word. More info here.
Anyway...without further ado...here we go!!!
9:07am - "Morning's here....the morning's here!!! The sun is near, the sky is clear!!" Oh man...waking up is very traumatic for me. It just rubs me the wrong way.
9:55am - DRAMA! My T.V. and DVD remotes fell behind my bed. I know this seems like nothing to you, but I'm a television addict which makes these remotes like my babies. To put it more simply - Little Timmy fell down the well and I tried to fish him out with the handle of my swiffer duster.
11:13am - Updating my LJ on my lappy. Yeah...that's myspace in the background. And yes - that's Vader and Boba Fett in my dock icons. They represent Safari and Firefox, respectively. I'm a nerd, ok?!?!
3:20pm - Okay, so alot happened between updating the LJ and admiring my newly threaded eyebrows. I re-twisted my ankle and writhed in agonizing pain for 10 minutes. Then I went to the Glendale Galleria (for no goddamned reason) and then to the Burbank Media Center to buy something to wear to the show. THEN...I had my eyebrows done. This is me checking myself out in the driver's side vanity mirror.
3:23pm - I kid you not. My mom called me 6 times. SIX!!!!! I had no reception in the mall, so I couldn't answer. But that didn't stop her from going crazy on the redial. It's called Voicemail. Use it. I called her back to tell her I had no reception and she was busy. She then called me twice while I had my eyebrows then. Oy motherfucking vey, yo.
3:47pm - Because I retwisted my ankle, I wasn't able to go on my walk today. But, I made a stop at the top of the STEPS OF DOOM to give you guys a better visual of the beast I tame on an almost daily basis. That's Silver Lake in the background. Next month, I'll give you a better view from the bottom of the steps. This part of my walk is the most rewarding.
3:58pm - LAUNDRY TIME!!! Really, I just wanted to show off my awesome Spongebob Hamper. And yes - that is the Rocky DVD Anthology in the background. Fighter's fight, dude!
4:50pm - Just out of the shower. If you don't mind me saying, I think I rock the towel turban quite well.
5:53pm - Okay. This is officially my new fave photo and will also be my new myspace photo as soon as I'm done here. There is absolutely no editing on this photo. I was rehearsing for the show in our home studio. We have blue packing blankets covering all the windows, and there's one directly in front of where Gordo (my S90) sits showering me in all my blueness. Awesome. Completely awesome.
6:47pm - Time to get ready for the show. This is me applying my "face".
9:19pm - The Detachable Pianist - LIVE @ The Verity Room!! Yeah...I rocked that goddamned place to the ground with my depressing songs of loss and heartbreak. Suck it, Verity!!!
11:44pm. After driving my roommates home and stopping off for some Taco Bell, I went back to my room, turned on my Lappy, and lost myself in the wonderful world wide web.

9:54pm - My bonus word was "highlight". And well, the best highlight of the day was seeing people at my show whom I hadn't seen in years. One friend, Richard - I hadn't seen him in 7 years!!! Anyway...this is Susan...or
sinca on LJ. She's the one who introduced me to 12 of 12 and therefore I find it fitting to use her to represent my "highlight". I hadn't seen her in a year, and it felt really good to give her a real hug. And yes...that's E. in the background admring a door.
I gotta say - this 12 of 12 things was pretty fucking fun. I totally dug it and I totally can't wait till next month.
Anyway...I'm sleepy. I promise a wordy journal entry first thing tomorrow morning.
