Some good, some bad, some random
Let's see, went to doctor this morning, filled a prescription, stopped by Lowe's to look at outdoor tables, posted LMOM drabble and a Narnia ficlet (links below), did three loads laundry, made another (different) doctor's appointment for Thursday, checked work email and school email, called my mother and sister.
Bad news about my grandmother, who has macular degeneration and has just pretty much lost the sight in what had been her good eye. :-( She can't read, now, and she also has hearing problems, although otherwise she's in good health. So that's really unfortunate, and my mom will probably be going down to see them next month. (This is my mom's mom; it was my dad's dad who died in January. Dad's mom has major short-term memory loss; mom's dad has bad knees but otherwise pretty good for over 90.)
In checking my school email, I took a survey about their recreational facilities; I was surprised and pleased when in the demographic questions at the end, there was included "Sex/Gender: Female, Male, Transgender, Prefer not to respond." Go them!
Update on "Buster" the stray pit bull mix: SO phoned up this morning and he was not claimed by his owners, but he has been approved for adoption. So he'll have two weeks in medical confinement, getting neutered, getting shots, etc. and then will be in the adoption pool. Here's hoping he finds a good new home.
