Still 1000 words to go on the article. I thought I was nearly through, but forgot that I had a big chunk at the end that had to be cut out because I'd essentially duplicated it earlier on (hazard of starting from a conference paper, *sigh*).
Have not gotten holiday letter finished -- SO has to do his bit, and he hasn't (he's working on a paper of his own, for a conference next week). I did pull together all my friends-and-family addresses and can print labels for them... though I should get some of SO's on there so that I can print a whole page and not waste labels.
Made cranberry bread (to take as gifts to MIL, SIL, and one of SO's good friends who lives there), and stollen (because it's not Christmas without stollen).
Took Juno to dog park. Did three loads laundry.
So not a wholly unaccomplished day, but I'm Still Not Done With The Effing Article.
This, this is reason #1 why I want to leave academia. *thinks* Well, #1 or #2. I'm not sure, maybe the grading is worse.
