Wow, I missed a day posting
Was away and offline most of Saturday, is what it was. Spent the morning doing lots of cooking: banana bread, baked potatoes (for hash browns), onion pie, and got about 3/4 of the way through enchiladas. So the filling and sauce are ready, I just need to assemble them and bake tonight. Then we went off to SO's teaching city and he did some tidying up in his office before we went to have dinner with one of his colleagues and spouse. Good food, good conversation, and we were there about four hours before driving home to rescue the dog and give her her belated dinner at about 11:20.
SO is mowing the lawn, and I should go do a bit of weeding before I shower, I think. Juno has destroyed most of the impatiens (not a big surprise), so I think we're going to look for something that can do as ground cover under the big oak, and is resilient to being trampled on. Need to put down more mulch, too. I expect we'll go for a walk later, either just before or after dinner.
Am feeling really tired, for some reason. Not hungover (although I had several glasses of wine last night -- hungover feels different). I'm just not sleeping well, I think. Don't know why. I can blame last night on the fact that there was a front coming through, we drove through lots of lightning although there was no rain here.
Oh, yikes -- I must work on the DD fic today, as it has to be posted in two days, and I'm still not done...
