And in the end
Well, syllabi are finished and copied, and I have everything ready for the first class meetings on Monday. Still need to do stuff to the course websites, though, and assignment handouts, and look over and tweak a couple of lectures, and review the assigned readings. But I should be able to get most of that done this weekend... that is to say, Sunday, since unless there's some major catastrophe I don't work on Saturdays. Also need to finish the flipping article and email the organizer of a conference session about an idea for a paper -- she emailed me a while back and I've been dilatory.
There was a CSA box this week: tomatoes, potatoes, apples, Italian parsley, those apple-pear things, summer squash, and okra. I've never actually cooked okra in my life. Looked in one of my vegetarian cookbooks and maybe I'll try grilling it... although if anyone has brilliant ideas for what to do with okra (other than frying -- SO would not go for that) I'd be delighted to hear suggestions.
Still not quite finished with the Remix fic. Have to get that done tomorrow. Usual grocery shopping, maybe I'll finally get the car cleaned (it's absolutely filthy inside and out), and I am vaguely considering going to see Becoming Jane, unless I can convince SO to go to the movies in which case he might well want to see something else. OotP and Ratatouille are still playing (I've seen both but wouldn't mind seeing either again), and there's The Bourne Ultimatum, though since I've not seen the previous two (nor has he, I think) that's not so appealing.
OMG, it's sprinkling! Wow. A good rain would be welcome. For all the rain earlier this summer it's been very hot and dry for the past several weeks. Hope it keeps on raining... all night would be good. But more likely it'll just be this sprinkle and that's all.
