- If you had to give one kind of writing up to save the world, which would it be?
Oh, I'd give up my professional writing without a quiver. *grins* How could I give up fic? Or if you mean what type of fic - filks, probably, although I enjoy writing those quite a bit. Very soothing to find ways to match the rhyme and meter.
- Favourite vegetable.
Broccoli. When I went to Spain for three weeks in my early teens, that was what I wanted most to eat when we got back.
- What outfit makes you feel most attractive?
I have a pair of loose tan linen-look trousers, and a long knit tunic, that are very comfortable and I think look good on me. I can teach in that outfit. Sadly, the tunic is becoming threadbare. For more of a special occasion it's a black dress with big cream flowers on it that makes me look very curvy but not fat - SO calls it the "va-va-va-voom dress".
- How do you get so much done?
*blinks* I don't feel like I DO get that much done. Um, I guess multi-tasking. I can be running a load of laundry, doing online stuff, and mentally plotting out the next chapter of a fic all at once. On the other hand there are times when I might sit and try to force myself to read something for a class and spend ten minutes on one page. And I'm way, way behind on the professional research aspect of what I should be doing, because there aren't external deadlines for that as there are for teaching.
- What made you choose to go to grad school where you did?
Mostly because they admitted me and gave me some money (not quite enough, I have ended up with loans too, but wtf). And they had a very strong department in my field, which is why I applied in the first place. I didn't apply to that many schools actually.
Want to play? Let me know, and I'll ask you five questions, the answers to which you must post on your lj.
