Yuletide
Whether or not I end up signing up, I have now officially submitted nominations for Yuletide. Nominations can be changed through 3 October, but I probably won't.
Swordspoint: Alec Campion, Richard St Vier, Michael Godwin, Katherine Talbert
Watership Down: Hazel, Fiver, Blackberry, Hyzenthlay
Galaxy Quest: Jason Nesmith, Gwen de Marco, Alexander Dane, Fred Kwan
It is perhaps notable that for each of these I am nominating 3 male characters and 1 female character. This does reflect to some degree the number and importance of the characters in canon, but OTOH I could have chosen fandoms that have more (or more significant) female characters, and I didn't.

Definitely glad it's Friday. SO's car was in the shop for two days having its airbags fixed (free, it was a recall thing), and mine has to be taken in tomorrow morning to have the cruise control fixed, which I definitely want done as I will be going to Other Big City in the state next Friday for a meeting, and planning to meet up with alisanne that afternoon/evening also. Cruise control will make the trip far easier, as long as it's not raining, that is.
So the weekend plan is to take my car in, use SO's car to run the usual errands (mostly grocery shopping), do laundry, cook. Maybe get in some sewing and/or fic writing. Talk to my mom (usual late Sunday afternoon activity). That's about it...
