In 2011 I live in a house that the credit union still owns most of, in a good-sized city in the Bible Belt of the central US, with my SO (husband) and Juno the girl dog.
In 2001 I lived with SO (we were already married) in a rented townhouse in the same state for the first part of the year, and on my own (for the first time in my life) in a rented apartment in a converted Victorian house in Erie, Pennsylvania for the latter part of the year.
In 1991 I lived most of the year in a single room in a dorm at my college in Claremont, California, and summer with my mom in the house she owned (with the bank) in Ashland, Oregon; she was between dogs at the time.
In 1981 I lived in a house my parents owned (with the bank) in a tiny inner suburb of St. Louis, Missouri, with my parents, younger sister, and Patty the girl dog and Inky the boy dog.
In 1971 I lived briefly with both parents in a house my parents rented in that same suburb, then in an apartment in Columbia, Missouri with my mom while she was going to library school; my dad was there for long weekends but working in St. Louis.
