Last night in London, and I dreamed that Jack Sparrow, who was somehow the same person as my SO, won a Mithril judged award, and was told it in person by the judges who included Anglachel (who's never judged them), at a time when they were counting up the popular-vote part of the award as printed out on hundreds of sheets of yellow paper

I wish he would show up in my head for stories... all of my PotC stories are about Will, one way or another. The one drafted in-flight yesterday is Elizabeth POV but still almost as much about Will as about her, I think.
Here's a question- do you have a vision for a chapter set within LotR when Legolas is in Lorien and meets up with Haldir and Melpomaen (I'm sorry; I've probably just butchered the spelling of his name)? That could be interesting for your readership.
That is exactly how to spell it. ;-) Actually I have an older story that comes close to that... a kind of rewriting of the scene with the Fellowship their first night in Lorien. See Shadows of the Past. But Maen isn't there, he's actually in Imladris at the time, as the new story Flame to Smoke explains - and that one does show some of the more negative side of the relationship, or at least is intended to do so! I'll go off and see what you had to say about Passages in your LJ later...
