Visit, Black Friday, and holiday gifts generally
Did not participate in this, really. We went to the Art Museum (good exhibit on a local artist who did social art in the 30s), and out to dinner. Today we're going to my favorite hamburger joint in the world (seriously), the zoo, and then the symphony. Yay!
I did make two online orders of gifts yesterday: Amazon for assorted items for various family members, and Harry & David. (The latter had one of their pear boxes for only $20 instead of $27, plus free shipping, and we send pears to four clusters of family each year, so it was good to grab that deal and be done with it.) I think that leaves us with only three parental units to determine gifts for. Plus we must write our holiday letter, and I have gotten SO to agree to draft it during the drive back tomorrow. If I can squeeze time I will sew SO a vest as usual, but mostly he's getting a new vacuum cleaner, and I've asked him to get my stand mixer fixed as my gift from him.
Headache today. Let's see if the acetaminophen can kill it.
