In the past couple of weeks I've seen two vanity license plates that made me giggle:
BUNMAN
and
PROHOR
I can think of several possible meanings for the first: a baker, a rabbit-raiser, or someone who appreciates a good tush. But for the second, I'm afraid only one thing leaps to mind, and I'm pretty sure that wasn't the intention given that it was on a perfectly ordinary-looking car.

The papers for the mortgage are all signed! All we have to do now is finish/print/sign a letter authorizing a wire transfer of the closing funds to the agency, and I fax that tomorrow, and SO checks to make sure the transfer is done. Then that's it, and the first payment on the new mortgage will be the first of October, so plenty of time to get my direct deposit switched to the other bank.
The last student interview is tomorrow; that shouldn't be a big deal. Today was a very slow day and I imagine tomorrow will be also. Time for some lost-book searching. Whee.
No carpooling today (b/c of the mortgage closing) and in fact not till Tuesday for various reasons, so I tried dictating and had some modest cooperation from my muse. We'll see if this goes anywhere... The dictation program is doing its thing, and in a minute I'll go fix all its mistakes and then go to bed. My life, she is so exciting...
